This is an interesting 9+ minute video about a team of Scandanavian scientists who discovered in the 1990s that there was a pretty direct correlation between solar magnetism and its resulting radiation, and the warmth of the Earth. The more Solar magnetism, the more clouds covered the earth producing rain and a relatively more humid climate, and vice versa.
I see that this video is part of a multi-part 60+ minute movie, which may or may not take off into discussion of climate change, politics etc. My intent in posting this video is not to discuss whether this new-found knowledge of a link between the Sun’s activity and climate on Earth absolves Mankind for any need for it to change it’s behavior. In my opinion, this is no absolution at all. Mankind must change his/her wasteful polluting ways, whether or not we have “proof” of the age old observation that the Sun’s activity is the dominant factor concerning climate and life change on Earth. Well, duh?!!
My intent in posting this video is to discuss what is so obvious, but sometimes, it’s hard to recognize the wallpaper in a room you’ve lived in all your life. After all, it’s wallpaper, and part of its function is to blend into the background and not stand out.
To me, it’s obvious that the Sun’s activity is reflected here on Earth. And that for reasons we have no comprehension of, it’s activity fluctuates and varies — and thus on the grossest of scale — our climate is created on Earth.
